Cost effective SOIC to DIP adapter board. These are custom PCB boards that interface standard 8 or 16 pin SOIC devices to standard .1" headers.
SOIC: Standard 0.05" / 1.27mm (pitch) spacing between pins. Will fit directly into a standard width (300 mil) DIP socket. It fits perfectly narrow and wide SOIC devices.
Q:
Was there a typo when you specify the pin spacing? Clearly the spacing is not greater than a half inch....

Yes, definitely a typo. Pin spacing or pitch is 1.27mm / 0.05". Thank you for noticing it.
